Targeted Formulation for Superior Results: Specifically designed for the chemistry of UPR and epoxy systems, ensuring reliable performance where generic defoamers may fail.
Excellent Compatibility: Integrates smoothly into formulations with a very low risk of causing surface defects such as craters, fisheyes, or haze, which is critical for high-gloss finishes and transparent applications.
Efficient & Persistent Foam Control: Provides strong defoaming power during processing and sustained anti-foaming action throughout curing, effectively combating both macro- and micro-foam.
Cost-Effective Performance: Offers performance comparable to leading benchmarks while providing excellent value.
Primary Use: Ideal for defoaming in UPR gel coats, laminates, epoxy potting compounds, and adhesives.
Suggested Dosage: 0.1% to 1.0% on total formulation weight. The optimal dosage should be determined through testing for each specific system and process.
Incorporation: Can be added at any suitable stage during production. For best results, we recommend adding to the resin binder before introducing fillers or pigments, followed by adequate mixing to ensure uniform dispersion.
Q: Does it affect clarity in transparent gel coats or epoxy?
A: Thanks to its excellent compatibility, DF-G9555 has minimal impact on system clarity at recommended dosages.
Q: Is it suitable for all epoxy curing agents (amines, anhydrides)?
A: Yes, it shows good stability and performance in common amine- and anhydride-cured epoxy systems.
Q: Can it be used in systems requiring vacuum degassing?
A: Yes, its persistent anti-foam action makes it suitable for processes involving vacuum treatment, helping to prevent foam re-generation.
