1. High-Refractive-Index Optical Resins & Eyeglass Lenses
Specially designed as a core monomer for 1.60 and 1.67 high-refractive-index optical spectacle lenses
Produces lenses that are 1/3 thinner and lighter than standard low-index lenses, while delivering 6× higher impact resistance, high Abbe number, and superior dyeing properties.
2. Precision Optical UV & Electronic Adhesives
Used as a key polythiol curing agent in UV optical adhesives (LOCA/OCA) for bonding camera lens modules, prism assemblies, and touch displays.
Provides ultra-low shrinkage, optical clarity, high refractive index matching, and zero yellowing.
3. Low-Temperature & Rapid Epoxy Curing Agent
Acts as a highly reactive trifunctional mercaptan hardener for two-component epoxy systems, enabling rapid gelation and deep curing even at ambient and sub-zero temperatures.
Enhances flexibility, adhesion to glass/metals, and water resistance in thin-film epoxy applications.
4. Polymerization Modifier & Crosslinking Agent
Functions as a crosslinker and chain-transfer modifier in radiation-curable (UV/EB) coatings, specialty printing inks, and sealants.
Significantly improves crosslinking density, surface cure speed, and resistance to oxygen inhibition.
5. Acidic Ion-Exchange Catalyst & Intermediate
Serves as an effective co-catalyst / promoter in acidic ion-exchange resin systems for organic synthesis (e.g., Bisphenol-A and specialty resin condensation reactions).
Used as a versatile sulfur-containing chemical intermediate for pharmaceutical and agrochemical active ingredients.
