Agesin SPA-TBEE is a transparent liquid hindered amine with an ammonia odor, readily soluble in water. The introduction of a tert-butyl group provides strong steric hindrance. When reacting with acid gases (CO₂, H₂S), it limits the reaction with CO₂ while exhibiting specific absorption for organic sulfur compounds (mercaptans, carbonyl sulfide, etc.). It is widely used in selective desulfurization of refinery gas and natural gas, with no foaming or corrosion during use. The formulated solvent is particularly suitable for purification of associated gas from high-sulfur oilfields, achieving organic sulfur removal rates > 95%.
