AgeSin® RA-FR16 series is a novel alkaline reducing agent specifically designed for the synthesis of polycarboxylate ether (PCE) superplasticizers. It includes two forms: AgeSin® RA-FR16P(Powder) and AgeSin® RA-FR16L (Liquid). Both products effectively replace traditional reducing agents (e.g., vitamin C, sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate) in PCE production, enhancing fluidity retention and water reduction efficiency. They are stable in alkaline solutions and compatible with mainstream macromonomers like HPEG and TPEG.

Recommended initial dosage: 80%-100% of the original reducing agent amount.
Add RO water and macromonomer (HPEG or TPEG) to the reactor. Stir until fully dissolved.
Add oxidizer/initiator at the target temperature.
Use one of these dosing methods:
Triple-dosing:
Dose 1: Acrylic acid/HEAA
Dose 2: Chain transfer agent (e.g., thioglycolic acid)
Dose 3: AgeSin® RA-FR16 reducing agent
Dual-dosing:
Dose 1: Acrylic acid/HEAA + chain transfer agent
Dose 2: AgeSin® RA-FR16 reducing agent
Control dosing time to 2-4 hours. Ensure AgeSin® RA-FR16 dosing finishes 15-30 minutes after acrylic acid.
Maintain temperature for 1-2 hours, then cool, neutralize with alkali, and dilute with water to obtain a clear or pale yellow PCE solution.
