A drop‑in alternative to Sartomer SR341, Photomer 4071, and EBECRYL MPDDA – with better process safety
SINOMER® MPDDA (3‑Methyl‑1,5‑pentanediol diacrylate) is a difunctional reactive diluent for UV/EB curable coatings, inks, adhesives, and 3D printing resins. It delivers exceptionally low viscosity, very low odor, moderate shrinkage, and outstanding solvency for high‑viscosity urethane and epoxy oligomers.
MPDDA is already used in commercially proven UV formulations – from high‑speed digital varnishes to industrial coatings. The recommended usage ranges below are based on real‑world safety data sheets, not laboratory guesses.
With a viscosity range of 5–15 cps at 25°C, MPDDA effectively reduces the viscosity of high‑viscosity resins and oligomers. Easier processing, improved coating uniformity, and reduced reliance on volatile organic solvents – without compromising cure speed.
MPDDA exhibits very low odor and low skin irritation, offering better safety for operators and end‑users. Particularly suitable for food packaging, indoor coatings, 3D printing resins, and UV nail gels.
Thanks to its 3‑methyl‑1,5‑pentanediol backbone, MPDDA delivers lower shrinkage than traditional HDDA. Lower shrinkage means improved adhesion on plastic films and reduced curl on thin substrates – critical for UV inkjet and roll‑to‑roll coating.
Outstanding solvency for high‑viscosity urethane acrylates, epoxy acrylates, and polyester acrylates. Prevents haze or phase separation, ensuring high transparency in clear coats.
SINOMER® MPDDA is functionally equivalent to Sartomer SR341, Photomer 4071, EBECRYL MPDDA, and Etermer EM2295 – offering the same performance with better safety.

A: Yes. It is functionally equivalent to Sartomer SR341, Photomer 4071, and EBECRYL MPDDA, and can be directly substituted in most UV/EB formulations with minimal reformulation.
A: MPDDA offers lower shrinkage, lower odor, and lower skin irritation compared to HDDA. It is preferred for applications requiring reduced film stress (less curl/warping) and better operator safety.
A: MPDDA is oil‑soluble and primarily designed for solvent‑free UV/EB systems. It is not recommended for waterborne formulations unless emulsified.
A: Standard Type I photoinitiators such as 1173, 184, TPO, and TPO‑L work well. For pigmented systems, TPO/TPO‑L combinations are recommended for through‑cure.
A: Yes, at typical industry levels to prevent premature polymerization. Custom stabilizer levels are available upon request.
A: 24 months from production date under proper storage conditions (sealed original containers, 15–25°C, away from light and heat).
A: Yes. samples (100g, 500g, or 1kg) are available for qualified customers. Contact our technical team.
