SINOCURE® CMTX (2-Carboxymethoxythioxanthone) is an acid-functionalized thioxanthone photoinitiator belonging to the Norrish Type II (hydrogen-abstracting) class. The introduction of a carboxymethoxy group (—OCH₂COOH) into its molecular structure gives it superior solubility in alkaline aqueous systems, overcoming the poor water solubility and crystallization tendency of traditional thioxanthone photoinitiators. Specially designed for UV-LED curing systems, it performs exceptionally well in waterborne UV inkjet inks and coatings.
