Industrial coatings:
After being added to the coating system under stirring, the additive will produce a three-dimensional network structure. The thixotropic flow behavior formed is very suitable for preventing sedimentation and anti-sagging performance without affecting leveling.
★Special attention: If it is used in combination with desiccants, discoloration may occur, possibly due to the formation of metal complexes. The rheological effectiveness in this case should be evaluated. At standard dosing, there is no negative effect on yellowing. In suspected systems, yellowing and higher additive dosages should be evaluated. When the additive is used in reactive and catalytic systems and contains nitrocellulose, we recommend testing the storage stability of the product.
PVC resins:
Liquid additives are used in many PVC resins to increase thixotropy, which allows faster processing of the plastisol during manufacturing, improves anti-setting and anti-sagging behavior. AgeSin® RH-A4410S NBP minimizes floating in pigment pastes and controls coating set during baking. Increases stability of PVC foams during mechanical agitation.
AgeSin® RH-A4410S NBP should be added to the coating system under moderate shear force to ensure uniform mixing and rapid dispersion. It does not require special temperature control. The additive can be added to the grinding stage and is also suitable for post-addition to adjust viscosity. If the additive is suitable for this system, there will be a significant increase in the rheological effect, which depends on time and polarity. Rheological effects can generally be evaluated 2-4 hours after mixing. This additive is recommended for medium polar systems.
