Sinepoxy ® EFM-10
Chemical Name: 2,3-epoxypropyl neodecanoate;Glycidyl neodecanoate;Neodecanoic Acid Glycidyl Ester
CAS No.: 26761-45-5
Molecular Formula:C13H24O3
Molecular Structure:
General information:
The structure of tertiary glycidyl carbonate makes it a unique modifier for coating resins. Its epoxy group is highly reactive and can react with carboxyl, amino and hydroxyl groups. The reactivity of the epoxy group allows it to be introduced into acrylic resin, polyester and alkyd resin at lower temperatures with few side reactions. The polyester prepared by this method meets the design requirements of narrow molecular weight distribution and low viscosity. The branched fatty acid structure provides the resin with hydrolytic stability, weather resistance and UV resistance. The suspended tertiary carbon structure can also reduce the viscosity of the tertiary glycidyl carbonate modified resin and improve pigment wettability and plasticity.
